IIYT now enrolling students for Level I, Level II and Level III

You can be a yoga therapist. Now is the time to enroll in the International Institute of Yoga Therapy (IIYT), one of the first accredited yoga therapy programs in the United States to be affiliated with a hospital setting.

Our programs are all currently held 100% virtually on Zoom.

Level I -- Level I is a 200-contact hour yoga teacher training program registered with Yoga Alliance. The curriculum will focus on preparing the learner interested in teaching group and private yoga classes. As an IIYT program, the curriculum is designed with an emphasis on the therapeutic aspects of yoga. Graduates of the IIYT Level I program are eligible for registration with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 Level (RYT-200). Level I program is led and taught exclusively by IIYT faculty presenters.

Level II -- The Level II curriculum is dedicated to understanding anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, disease states and healing processes as it relates to the clinical applications of yoga therapy. Faculty members include MDs and PhDs as well as certified yoga therapist (CIAYT) faculty presenters. The Level II program can be conducted virtually. Graduates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the scope of practice relative to applications of yoga therapy for patients within a clinical setting and may register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT 500. IIYT is currently accepting applications. IIYT is currently accepting applications for admission on February 5, 2022. For further information please call Veronica at 248 840 9444.

Level III -- The Level III curriculum offers advanced training and experience through on-site clinical applications of yoga therapy for in-patient and out-patient populations. Clinical experiences focus on intake history, treatment plan, patient evaluation, follow up recording, exit strategies and effective communication with the integrative, allopathic clinical environments. Level III yoga therapy clinical externs adhere to all hospital protocols. In addition, Level III students are involved with case study presentations, literature reviews, research collaborations, specialized teaching assistance and an independent study presentation. Graduates are eligible for CIAYT certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. IIYT is currently accepting applications for admission on January 16, 2022.
